The Reid Trust considers funding support for a diverse range of projects, varying in nature, size, and complexity. To accommodate this variety, we have designed a flexible application process rather than a standardized form. We encourage all applicants to carefully navigate this process.
To begin, prospective applicants should review the materials on our website. This will help them understand the Trust’s goals and the priorities set by the Trustees. Applications should clearly demonstrate how a project aligns with these parameters, or, if outside the usual scope, why it merits special consideration.
If applicants believe their project meets the Trust’s criteria, they should refer to two key documents to prepare a formal application. The first is the Application Form, which outlines the essential information required by the Trustees for all applications.
The second document is “Guidelines for Applicants,” offering practical suggestions and tips drawn from our experience reviewing applications since 1999. These guidelines focus on form and presentation, aiming to help applicants, especially those less familiar with formal funding requests, to ensure their project’s merit is not obscured by a poorly structured application.
Both documents are available in .pdf format, allowing easy consultation on the website, as well as downloading for use on a computer or printing. We expect all applicants to thoroughly review both documents and follow the guidance provided.
Please note: The application deadlines are April 1 and October 1 of each year.
